We will be kicking off this season's tournament schedule at San Vicente Golf Course in Ramona on Wednesday,  November 19th with tee times starting at 9:30 am. Green fees are only $50 for this challenging venue. We will have four KP's, in addition to our prize pool ($10) and optional gross and net skins ($10). We will pay 1st gross and 3 or 4 nets in each flight, depending on the number of players.

Borrego Springs Men's Golf Club began informally during May 2008 with temporary officers Rudy Kastelic (President), Mitch Mossay (Handicap Chairman and Dean McBride (Treasurer). That summer was spent obtaining articles of incorporation, opening a bank account, and drafting by-laws, applying for affiliation with SCGA, planning tournaments and recruiting members. The slate of officers was ratified by vote in November 2008. The club became a SCGA affiliate on February 11, 2009.

Director of Golf Rick Sprouse was the prime mover, providing encouragement and mentorship. Jim Snowden joined the club and was our first tournament chairman. Later he became the club's second president. Webb Cate and Roger Myers initiated the popular Friday afternoon derby. Members originated from throughout the United States and Canada. By the end of 2009 the original thirty members grew to forty-two and eventually expanded to more than one hundred. 

In 2009 our first Club Champion was Dave Cranmer who is currently mentored by Bill Bennett to become the next Tournament Chairman. The treasury has changed hands from Dean McBride to Jim Smith. Our tournaments expanded with a category for seniors under the watchful eyes of Jim Snowden and Mitch Mossay. Pat Ellis became Handicap Chair when the backbone of BSMGC, Mitch

Mossay, gave up that position to be the Tournament Chairman, and was sub-sequently elected our third President. Art Aviles is our current Membership Chairman, Roger Meyers is our vice president, and our newest Board Member is Clint Brandin. Leon Furman is now our fourth president. Our current Club Champion is Glen Clark

During 2011 BSMGC was added to the Borrego Cup team competition joining de Anza and Rams Hill in the annual winter event and has an impressive five wins in eight years.

New members are welcome anytime. Fall of 2018 will mark the tenth year of our camaraderie and competitions. May the fun continue! Hit 'em straight and count all your shots
